One of the best in business, The celebrated director of critically acclaimed & commercially successful films Rang De Basanti, Delhi 6 and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag Rakesh Omprakash Mehra is back and he is back with a bang, titled as Mirzya.
Mirzya which appears to be a contemporary take on the legends of Punjabi folk romantic tale Mirza- Sahiban features debutants Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher. What seems to be one of the best musical scores from Shankar-Ehsan-Roy with lyrics of legendary poet Gulzar sb, this film should be the highlight of 2016.
Teaser of Mirzya which has been released a couple of days back is magical. With Harshvardhan Kapoor as a warrior & just a glimpse of Saiyami Kher, this teaser is a "teaser" in real sense. Powerful voice of Pakistani folk legendary singer Saeen Zahoor (Coke Studio & Khuda Ke Liye fame) chanting a classical folk Punjabi tune brings sheer goosebumps. I am waiting for the teaser now and expectations are just touching the sky.
