Simba- Movie Review by Shoby

Simba- Movie Review by Shoby

3.5 Hearts Out of 5

Fates of recent flops with some big names of industry have proved quite categorically that gone are the days when you could create a brainless entertainer and cine-goers would have jumped in joy. To be honest, I was not confident about Simba in the first place and went to the near theater with simply no expectations at all. Reason being quite simple, I am not at all a fan of Rohit Shetty's cinema but what came to me as a surprise was an exceptional action drama loaded with some amazing music & a bit of romance sprinkled over it.

Don't expect some extraordinary stuff here, as far as the story is concerned. Simba, an orphan with a lion's heart, has chosen to become a policeman, as the only thing he wants is power and he has learned in his childhood that power comes with the uniform. However, his life changes from a notorious policeman to a revenge seeking officer on duty, as he is appointed as in-charge in a police station in Goa. Rest should be watched in the movie, as I don't want to be spoiler.

Simba is all about a tightly written script, translated into a gripping screenplay with some awesome acting prowess shown by some seasonal actors. I would not be wrong, if I say, Simba is all about Ranveer Singh. Ranveer shines and simply bursts out of the 70 mm screen with his energy & bravura performance. Indeed, he has come a long way in acting department and I shall give the due share of credit for this to Sir Sanjay Leela Bhansali, whose assignments (Raam Leela, Bajirao Mastani & Padmaavat) has taught Ranveer, how to bring the best out of him. Sara Ali Khan looks beautiful & decent in the short role, but I feel, she could have done much better in acting especially she struggles in the romance department. Sonu SoodAsutosh Rana, Siddhartha Yaadav and the supporting cast did exceptionally well. Cameos of Ajay Devgan as Singham and Akshay Kumar is a pleasant surprise.

Music by a bunch of musicians (Tanishk Bachi, Lijo George, DJ Chetas and S Thaman) with lyrics of (Shabbir Ahmed, Rashmi Virag, Kumaar & Kunal Verma) is appealing and goes smoothly with the story. Track Ankh Marey is an excellent foot tapping number with cameo appearances by Team Golmaal. Tere Bin is a recreated version of Sir Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sb's classical track. Aala Re Aala & Simba theme plays in the background just enhances the overall flavor.

As in the early products of Rohit Shetty, this time yet again you get to see some stunning visuals, courtesy Jomon T. John's eye catching cinematography. Editing is also crisp. Action scenes have been choreographed nicely and they have a signature of Rohit Shetty's action.

Dialogues are just about perfect. Some scenes in the movie leaves with you even after you leave the theater. The coming of age from notorious happy go lucky mischievous Policeman to reasonable revengeful officer on duty is a treat to watch. See the scenes where Ranveer asks the old man to slap him, as he was never slapped in childhood by his father as he was orphan. To me, it was perhaps the best scene of the movie.

Overall, I believe, Rohit Shetty has learned so much from his mistakes in last ventures and no doubt, Simba is his best work till date.My verdict, Simba is a winner in every department. Go, watch it just for an electrifying performance by Ranveer.

Padmaavat- Movie Review by Shoby

Padmaavat - Movie Review by Shahbaz Ali Naqvi (Shoby)

4.5 Hearts out of 5

Some movies are made to elaborate what is written in the history whereas only few of the movies re-write history on celluloid. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat definitely belongs to the second class. The magician is back with his latest period war drama after Bajirao Mastani and lets see what he has to offer to his audience this time.

Padmaavat is the story of the fight between lust filled obsession of a ruler (Ranveer Singh) who posed to be a pseudo-god and the resilience of a royal couple (Shahid Kapoor & Deepika Padukone). Story involves multiple edge of the seat twists & turns and grooms smoothly to implant a solid premises for a heartwarming war drama.I don't want to be a spoiler so won't tell you the whole lot about movie.

First thing first, unlike what I perceived, I feel Padmaavat was never intended to be a romantic cinema, as this time Bhansali focused more on the fight between good & evil rather than highlighting the lovely warm companionship of protagonists. This is the primary component that makes Padmaavat stand out from the last two outings of Sanjay Leela Bhansali (RaamLeela & Bajiramo Mastani).

Talking about the acting department, Padmaavat is simply a Ranveer Singh's show right from the word go. He gets into the skin of the character of Khiljee so placidly that eventually earns him a well deserving standing ovation. He dominated more than half of the movie courtesy his powerful portray of this ruthless emperor’s character. Deepika Padukone in the role of Rani Padamaavati is a treat to watch. Along with her tranquil innocence & serene on-screen beauty, She has once again proved her mettle in acting department. Shahid Kapoor, to me gets a role of his lifetime. The best thing about the character written for him is, for never a minute second, you think that his role has been under-written than other characters. Aditi Rao is a grooming her acting skills  movie by movie and this time she has played a pitch perfect role. She looks so different in the avatar of a Queen. This time the surprise package was Jim Sarbh who enacted the role of a transgender with utmost authenticity.

The film never loses its grip and remains successful in sticking the audience to the screens till the finale part, courtesy its compelling script & superbly written screenplay. Dialogues are a winner and characters come up with a magnificent punch line right after every few minutes in regular intervals. I would specially like to highlight the dialogues penned for Ranveer's character. Bold, ruthless, savage & humorous embedded in brutality. Jab khaney ko itna kuch hai to hum khouf kiyo khaey. The initial conversation between Padmaavati & Pandit is the heart of the story.

Set designing has always been a forte of Bhansali's films and Padmaavat is no different. Art direction is at its prime best, blended with immensely beautiful cinematography by Sudeep Chatterjee, Padmaavat is a well-deserved visual treat. For those who always say that why don’t Bhansali moves out of the sets, this time he has a loud answer. Some war sequences and few other outdoor shots are mind boggling. Bhansali has definitely made a strong statement that he can unequivocally project the beauty of the nature at its prime best.

Although unlike Bhansali's earlier projects, Padmaavat has lesser number of songs but all of them are well placed just where they were needed in the script. Ek Dil Ek Jaan is the latest romantic anthem and Binte Dil comes out as a surprise element. A. M. Turaz and Siddharth-Garima have penned relatable suitable lyrics for the movie whereas Bhansali's signature sound track is a winner. Kruti Mahesh Midya has choreographed Ghoomer in an amazing way. War sequences are choreographed in a make-believe manner. The ultimate combat sequence between Khiljee & Rajpoot emerged victorious.

Padmaavati stands tall in displaying the grandeur of royal legacy of Rajpoots and it has the stamp of SLB written all over it. Padmaavati is a dream that you never wants to get finished in just above 2 and a half hours. My verdict, this magnum opus is a must watch for all the fans of larger than life cinema.

Padmavati (Sanjay Leela Bhansali)- Trailer Review by Shoby

Padmavati (Sanjay Leela Bhansali)- Trailer Review by Shoby

When the name of Sir Sanjay Leela Bhansali appears in front of you, what do you assume. Grandeur in cinema. He has given classics in his carrier including Hum Dil De Chukey Sanam, Devdas, Black, Saawariya and Baajirao Mastani. After a wait of almost two years, the father of cinema is returned to the business with his another period magnum opus titled Padmavati, which is slated to be released on December 1st, 2017. Film stars Deepika Padukone, Shahd Kapoor, Ranveer Singh & Aditi Rao Haidari in lead roles. Music has been composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself, where lyrics are penned by Siddarth & Garima and Background Score is composed by Sanchit Balhara. The trailer of the film has been released a couple of days ago and here is our analysis on the same.

First thing first, this trailer has the same Sanjay Leela Bhansali's signature feel. You will witness the true larger than life canvas in all the frames. From the majestic set design to the noble wardrobe, from slight gestures of Deepika Padukon's standalone sad eyes to the opulent background score, I feel, Sir Sanjay Sir has never gone flat. No compromise has been made over the prestige & grandiosity of the product.

Although all the scenes in the trailer are breathtaking views, a result of stunning cinematography but to me the one where Deepika is shown looking on to the head turban of Shahid while Shahid looking into her eyes is sheer goose bumps. With only two monologues featuring in it, this one is without any doubt one the grandest affairs we have witnessed in history, when it comes to viewing Bollywood films. With Shreya Ghoshal & many other excellent voices behind the mic, the music lovers must be waiting anxiously for the soundtrack of the film, which would be one of its kind for sure.

With this trailer which itself asking for more, I personally cant wait for its release.

Befikre- Film Review by Shoby

Befikre- Film Review by Shoby

3 Hearts out of 5

The director of blockbusters including DDLJ, Mohabbatein and Rab Ne bana Di Jori, Aditya Chopra is back with his latest directorial venture Befikre. This is the first time, when he has directed a film minus Shahrukh Khan and believe it or not, it really came to me as a shocker when he announced the film without SRK. This time, Ranveer Singh was on board along with Vaani Kapoor. Aditya has not only directed but also written and produced the film by himself. Lets see what he has this time for the audience.

With almost every other film starts like boy-meets-girl sort of situation, this time it is a little different. Here we see Dharam (Ranveer) & Shyra (Vaani) FIGHTING OUT LOUD and this big combat ends up with the announcement of their break-up. Meanwhile in the flashbacks, we see how the Delhi based Dharam arrived Paris (France) and woos Shyra courtesy his witty humorous nature.

Later on they decide to have a live-in relationship so that they can spend some quality time together and as in almost every other case, there starts the fights between them for various reasons and then they depart from each other, however they again meet to celebrate one year completion of their break-up after a few small episodes. Rest is left to be seen in the film.

First thing first, it is an out & out Ranveer's affair as he outshines through his very own bravura performance. He has played the role of a care free humor loving happy-go-lucky dude in a very believable manner. Vaani is decent in her avatar of French girl with typical Indian desi background. Other actors have also done a commendable job in their little capacities. Dialogues are fresh and one enjoy this youth-centred romantic drama courtesy honestly done awesome writing.

Although the climax is quite predictable and nothing new is discovered in the heart of the story, however writing never lets down and one hooks up quite well with the proceeding. Cinematography is brilliantly conducted by Kaname Onoyama and you get to see the most romantic city of the world through camera lens in an awesome manner.

The musical duo Vishal-Shekhar has given a nice sound track for the movie which blends beautifully with the on-goings. My picks from the album are Arijit Singh's Nashe Si Chadh Gayi and Je t'aime sung by Vishal Dadlani & Sunidhi Chauhan. To me, this film possess probably the best choreography of year 2017. One of the best choreographers that we have in today's Bollywood Vaibhavi Merchant has choreographed some awesome dance moves in all the tracks especially in Ude Dil Befikre, Nashe Si Chadh Gayi and Je t'aime.

Overall, this light romantic drama is worth a watch thanks to its nicely written fresh script, authentic acting by core cast and excellent music.

Bajirao Mastani- Movie Review by Shoby

Bajirao Mastani- Movie Review by Shoby

4.5 Hearts out of 5

A lesser known fact is that Sanjay Leela Bhansali concieved the idea of making a film on the love story of warrior poet Peshwa Bajirao Ballar even before making his debut direction Khamoshi- The Musical. With the passage of time, conditions kept on changing and he became busy in doing other projects, however somewhere in his mind, he was eager to cinematize this story. From Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Katrina Kaif, Bhumika Chawla and a few others, there came many artists for various roles belong to the project but nothing materialized until he found his Bajirao in Ranveer Singh, Mastani in Deepika Padukone and Kashi Bai in Priyanka Chopra.

Late it came, better it became. So Bajirao Mastani is yet another SLB signature in which Sanjay Leela Bhansali is written all over. Starting from the script. Ten on ten for such a solid punch, with dialogues depicting all the beauty at their best.

Aap ne to sirf Waar ka nishan dekha hai Peshwa... Ghao to kahi or laga hai". What a way to depict her love for Bajirao. Humarey wapis aney ke baad bhi aap ki ankhon se gaya nahi... Humara intezar". Telling how deep Bajirao could look in Kashi Bai's heart. Aap ki di hui her cheez humain aziz ha... Chahey ghungru hon ya Beta." Just spot on.

Check one of the most stunningly shot sequences where Kashi Bai first time saw the reflection of Bajirao in the curtain. See the rage of Bajirao shown though the stormy night's voyage. Fell in love with the scene where Bajirao and Mastani confess love for each other and make a commitment. And that fountain scene, where SLB has shown the eternal emotion of love in an altogether different module.

One of the best parts of the movie was the scene where Nanah separates Mastani from her son. What an exceptional conversant between mother & son. Check at hte concluding parts, where Kashi Bai comes to beat Bajirao and in his unconsciousness, he considers him to be Mastani and asks about Kashi Bai, she says: "Ab to pathar se dil ka kaam leney lagi hai". The very last imaginary fight sequence where Bajirao battles with invisible enemy (his own self) Just fabulous... Mind boggling.

Bajirao Mastani is without any doubt the best work of Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra. Although Deepika & Priyanka excel beautifully but to me, it was a show stolen completely by Ranveer Singh. Bhansali sb has re-discovered this gem of an artist. His accent (with a blend of Marathi), his graceful gate of an emperor, his grandeur of a warrior, his emotions as a lover. Bhansali sb has tapped his real acting skills.

Deepika Padukone outshines in the role of Mastani Bai, the class & grace she carries in the whole movie is just phenomenal. Scenes featuring her sword actions are choreographed with such a great precision & authenticity.

Priyanka Chopa is yet another gem stone in the forehead of movie. Watch her unmatched elegance in the role of Kashi Bai. In some places, she simply takes the middle of the stage, especially the very last sequences. She did not acted, rather lived the character.

Special mention is due for Tanvi Azmi, who has played Bajirao's mother in such a convincing manner. All of these actors bind with their flawless performances and you can never even blink an eye for the whole time period. You do not want this movie to be finished, even after it ends. Such a power of Sanjay Lela Bhansali.

Art directions, set designing, choreography, editing & other technicalities of cinema have always been up to the mark in SLB's products and Bajirao Mastani is no different. I must say that every frame of Bajirao Mastani is poetic in terms of cinematic credentials & sensibilities. Sudeep Chatterjee's cinematography is breath taking indeed specially in war sequences.

Although movie does not feature many of the songs, which are available in the album (may be because of editing), however still Deewani Mastani, Albela Sajan, Mohey Rang Do Laal & Pinga are winners in every sense. I literally missed Ayat, Aaj Ibadat and Fitoori in the movie. Had they been included in the proceedings, it would have been a magnum treat for the viewers.

Although climax & anti climax could have been much better. Having said that I would still say that with the career best performances of Ranveer, Deepika and Priyanka, Bajirao Mastani will glow as a shining star in the sky of Bollywood. Sanjay Leela Bhansali has nailed it yet again and proved his mettle. Watch it for two and half hours of sheer dream and cinematic poetry.

Clash of Titans... Bajirao Mastani vs Dilwale... Article by Shoby

Clash of Titans... Bajirao Mastani vs Dilwale... Article by Shoby

December 18, 2015 will witness the biggest clash of the year when two giants will be pitched against each other in theatres. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Bajirao Mastani is all set to battle on screen with hit machine Rohit Shetty's Dilwale.

Bhansali sb known for making grand movies on large scales has given the industry some mega blockbusters, which are not only critically acclaimed by the analysts but also gained fame among the public. His films Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (starring Salman Khan and Ashwariya Rai bachchan) and Devdas (starring Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri and Aishwariya) literally reshaped the Indian cinema.

If his movie Black was one of its kind superbly made art, his another film Guzaarish also won many hearts with its very unique story line and execution. Although Saanwarya couldn't do well in box office, it is still regarded as one of those epics that will be cherished after several years and will be respected for sure in future.

His last endeavor Goliyon Ki RaasLeela- Raam Leela (starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone) was his first 100 crore grosser. This film was not only praised by the critics, it was also loved by the spectators and attracted them in good numbers.

He has once again gathered the Raam Leela team (Ranveer, Deepika and Priyanka Chopra) for his upcoming saga Bajirao Mastani, story of a warrior poet.  With all the colors, exceptional music, beautiful choreography, large scale sets & locales, war scenes and intense drama with hard hitting dialogues, this one is all set to make a mark and win the hearts of the audience.

On the other hand, Rohit Shetty knows the perfect recipe of making multiple 100, 200, even 300 crore grosser. The maker of Golmaal and Singham series knows the perfect combination of various ingredients that can make a movie capable enough to pull the audience to the theatres.

When last time, he joined hands with SRK, the combo gave us one of the all time biggest top grosser Chennai Express, which was a perfect laugh riot.

Now, he has made the hit romantic couple of 90s (SRK- Kajol) come back in the movie titled "Dilwale". With an already hit soundtrack to its credit, lots of expectations are attached with the business of the movie.

People have millions of expectations with both of these movies and they are no doubt two most anticipated and most awaited movies of the year 2015. Having said that it would have been much better, if  these movies had a solo launch so that each of them could enjoy their due share of business, we wish both of them all the success.

Biggest Question... Which one of them do you think will be able to win more hearts???

Albela Sajan (Bajirao Mastani)- Song Review by Shoby

Albela Sajan (Bajirao Mastani)- Song Review by Shoby

As stated in my review on Bajirao Mastani's soundtrack, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has re-done his Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam's epic track Albela Sajan and this time its more of a chorus song. With just a few days remaining in the release of the film, video of the track is released.

I bet you will certainly love to watch it multiple of times. Reason: It is a pure Sanjay Leela Bhansali's type of affair by every front. You will love to see colors, happiness, rangolis and dances all over.

Its about the return of Pishwa Bajirao after a victory and see how his first wife Kashi Bai receives him. Its about double celebration for her. She is not only celebrating Bajirao's victory but also celebrating his return. and that too in a grand manner.

If Deewani Mastani was all about Deepika Padukone, Albela Sajan belongs to Priyanka Chopra altogether. See her reactions when she dances (and poses horse riding) in front of Ranveer Singh alone. Also see the way she points him (as if telling that you are looking great) and in response just a mild smile on the face of Ranveer for a moment or two. Thats it... Showing true grandeur of an emperor.

This December 18 will surely witness magic on screen when Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Baji Rao Mastani will hit the theaters. Waiting anxiously!!!

Non Lip Sync Songs in SLB's Films- An Exclusive Feature by Shoby

Non Lip Sync Songs in SLB's Films- An Exclusive Feature by Shoby

Legendary director Sanjay Leela Bhansali sb is all set to release his dream project Bajirao Mastani on December 18, 2015. My last exclusive feature about Bhansali sb was about the usage of word "Chaand" in his movies. Thank you all for liking the feature. Those of you who could not read it earlier can read it here ( http://shobywood.blogspot.com/2015/12/chaand-legacy-continues-in-slbs-film.html ).

Today let us explore yet another dimension from the directorial projects of the legend. There is a custom that every SLB movie contains at least one song in which there is no lip syncing. Artists do not utter the lyrics of the song and the picturization is done through only non verbal communication portrayal and the impact is created by artist's gestures and overall ambiance.

Khamoshi- The Musical (SLB's first direction) witnessed Salman Khan and Manisha Koirala winning hearts of everyone by their serene gestures in 90s hit Bahon Ke Darmiyan. It was one of the most favorite romantic tracks of its time and is still cherished by those who love good music

SLB's mega blockbuster musical drama (Hum Dil De Chukey Sanam) gave us a gem in the form of Ankhon ki Gustakhian, a love ballad no one and literally no one can forget. Marvollously sung by Kumar Sanu and Kavita Krishnamurthy, this song turned out to be an epic. Aishwarya Rai's flawless performance and Salman Khan's naughty moves made it an epic for sure.

SLB's saga Devdas brought Bairi Piya, exceptionally sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Udit Narayan. This time Aishwarya was paired opposite king of romance Shahrukh Khan and they truly lit fire on the screen with their sizzling chemistry. Once again there was no lip syncing and only presenters were artist's gestures, choreography and art direction.

Saanwarya the greatest ever film witnessed Jaan-e-Jaan. One of those songs that I personally love the most. The passion and sort of insistence shown by Ranbir Kapoor in this song is what makes it stand out from the lot. Beautifully composed by Monty Sharma and penned by Sameer, this one was a real SLB song by every mean.

Guzaarish was although an off-beat movie but it featured a track Tera Zikr, in which first time ever Ball Dance was displayed in Bollywood. Jazz and Ballet dance forms were used in the sequences where Hrithik was shown doing different magic tricks. No doubt, it was one of the most difficult song of Bollywood as far as choreography is concerned.

Goliyon Ki Raasleela- Raam Leela was all about love and passion and same was shown in track Lahoo Munh Lag Gaya. With Garba at its best, this was a typical SLB kind of song, where we witnessed colors and dances all over. Deepika Padukone stunned everyone through her eye gestures and facial expressions in this song.

Coming to the upcomingg film of Sanjay Leela Bhansali (i.e. Bajirao Mastani) I feel Aaj Ibadat or Ayat would be that musical number in which lip syncing is (most probably) not used. I can be wrong however it is just a speculation from my end as a die hard fan of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. However the secret will be recvealed on December 18, when world witness Bajirao Mastani making waves in thaters.

Bajirao Mastani- Music Review by Shoby

Bajirao Mastani- Music Review by Shoby

4 Hearts out of 5

Just got to listen all 10 tracks from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming magnum opus Bajirao Mastani. I am reviewing music after a little break, so advance apologies, if I go over the board. J  First thing first, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been a ghost musician for many of his tracks in his earlier movies, however he became visible as the main composer in his last movie Goliyon Ki raasleela- Raamleela and gave us a beautiful musical score. This time too, he decided to compose the whole album by himself.  Let us see, track by track, how these songs have turned out for the listener.

Deewani Mastani is no doubt the best song of the album. It is one of those tracks that stays with you even after it is ended. Sung magnificently by the nightingale Shreya Ghoshal, this track tells the story of how passionate Mastani is for Bajirao. With a touch of Sufi and Qawali ang and beautiful use of Sitars and chord instruments, it takes you in another journey altogether.

In his last hit RaamLeela, Bhansali sb joined hands with latest sensation Arijit Singh and gave us one of the best tracks of his filmography titled "Yeh Laal Ishq". In Bajirao mastani, he has once again brought Arijit behind the mic who crooned a sweet slow melody "Ayat". Beautifully written by A. M. Turaz, this one also has the touch of Sufi and Qawali genres.

Malhari is a victory celebration song, where the supporters of Bajirao are dancing in joy and chanting slogans after getting a crucial victory over his opponent in a battlefield. Vishal Dadlani has sung it in his unique solid powerful style, depicting the passion in the right volume, needed for the situation.

Winner of National Film Award for Best Choreography Pandit Birju Maharaj comes together with Shreya Ghoshal and gave us a beautiful classical number "Mohe Rang Do Laal". It has a feel of Kaahey Cher Cher Mohe and Dhai Shaam (from Devdas) and Mohey Panghat Pe (from Mughal e Azam). We don’t get to listen this type of pure classical melodies in today's era more often. As this genre is explored so rarely now a days, that’s why it is my favorite track from the album and can’t wait to see, how (most probably) Deepika will dance on this beautiful composition.

Bhansali sb gave us an epic "Albela Sajan" in his second directorial venture "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam". Ustad Sultan Khan with Shankar Mahadevan and Kavitha Krishnamurthy almost immortalized the song and it became one of the cult pieces of music in Bollywood. Bhansali sb has re-done this track in the fim now. This time, it is more of a chorus track and will surely make its presence felt in the movie, when it will get played during the proceedings.

Ab Tohe Jane Na Doongi sung by Payal Dev, Shreyas Puranik is another classical track beautifully amalgamated with some modern and traditional musical instruments. It feels like thematically in nature and will becoming more meaningful, when plays with the situation in the film.

Pinga is the dance song, everyone was excited for. In Devdas, SLB made Madhuri and Ash dance like no one else could do in Dola Re Dola. In Bajirao Mastani, Bhansali has made dazzling Deepika and stunning Priyanka dance in "Pinga" and both of them have tried up to their optimum level to match the same legacy, which Dole Re has created earlier. Shreya Ghoshal and Vaishali Made has sung it in excellent Marathi style.

Pakistani classical singer Javed Bashir has crooned Aaj Ibaadat. It is yet another track of the album, with a mix of Sufi and classical music. Use of Sitar in this particular track is more than exceptional.
Fitoori, sung by Vaishali Made is a pure Maraathi composition. It looks like being highly inspired from one of the classical Marathi track "Mala Gau Ja Na Ghari". I enjoyed the track as it is such a new addition in the music of mainstream Bollywood’s film music.

Ganjana is the last track of the album crooned by Sukhwinder Singh. It is a devotional track and sung with the same passion and power which was required in it.

Overall, this album has something for almost everyone. My picks are Deewani Mastaani, Ayat and Mohe Rang Do Laal.

Bajirao Mastani- Movie Trailer Review by Shoby

Bajirao Mastani- Movie Trailer Review by Shoby

Trailers are almost the very first look of the movie, which prepares the audience to expect what actually they are going to experience in cinema.  It is believed that trailer should not be as short as people does not get an idea about what really would be the content of the movie and it should not also be as long as after watching it, someone thinks look I have tasted all the movie. Nothing else is left behind, so why should I watch it in cinema now.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali (the father of artistic cinema) the man behind cult classics is famous for presenting fascinating trailers for his movies. People still cherish a blind girl (Rani) hitting her white stick on the floor and then just sensing the snowfall in the trailer of Black. They still praise Shahrukh Khan uttering the epic word "Paro" in Devdas. it still brings a smile to their faces, when they think about Hrithik Roshan (a quadriplegic patient) sitting on his wheelchair and giving a smile, full of sorrow after almost failing in thrashing a fly away from him in the trailer of guzaarish and who can forget the grand entry of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in his first 100 crore grabber Raam-Leela.

After the extended teaser and few songs, November 2015 saw the launch of the trailer of year's most awaited magnum opus Bajirao Mastani. Let’s see, what does it has in it for the audience.

Grand sets, sword fights, vibrant colors, intense bg score, pleasantly attractive lightings, colorful ambience, graceful moves, make-believe war sequences. These are a few highlights of the trailer. One thing that Bhansali sb has done this time in the trailer is, he just kept minimal of dialogues embedded in the trailer and this strategy has worked wonders to me. It literally asks for more. All the actors are looking stunning. ranveer Singh has a very intense look of a warrior. Deepika is looking graceful and so does Priyanka.

Moment u think Sanjay Leela Bhansali has given his best and nothing more to be done is left, he shocks you and sprinkles yet another spell of more magic. If anything deserves to be seen in cinema. It is only the magic of Bhansali sb who is surely a winner when it comes to make the big scale quality cinema. One dialogue at the end of the tariler is sure to give enough goose bumps. Humare dil aik sath dharakte hain mastani. Or aik sath ruktey bhi hain. One expects a grand cinematic affair altogether after watching this grandest trailer and I really hope Bajirao Mastani turns out to be the best from the house.
