Shahbaz Ali Naqvi (Shoby) is a poet, film & literature critic and blogger. He has been writing the reviews on movies since 10 odd years, however he started his own blog shobywood.blogspot.com in the year 2012. This blog Shobywood features Shoby's reviews & analysis on Hollywood, Bollywood & Lollywood Movies, English TV & Web TV Series and Urdu Literature (poetry & prose).
Apart from being a critic, Shahbaz Ali Naqvi is also a poet and author of Urdu poetry book "Main Bekhayali Mein Sang Tere" which was launched in the year 2016. The prestigious inauguration ceremony was held at Rawalpindi Arts Council under the banner of acclaimed literary Harf Academy... The book consists of his Ghazals, Poems & many independent couplets & qat'aat... This blog features a few of his poetic pieces. Shahbaz has also initiated the global story writing competition #TheMasterStoryteller by collaborating with prolific writer Ms. Sumaira Hameed. The competition is jointly being held at this blog and Ms. Sumaira's official Facebook page. Ms. Sumaira and Shahbaz are judging the competition.
Apart from movies, he also review music and literature (primarily Urdu novels and South Asian music). #Shobywood also features interviews of renowned artists, especially poets & other writers. Shobywood is the first ever global English language blog that shared exclusive interviews of World Famous Award Winning Poetess Fakhira Batool Naqvi along with other famous personalities that include Kiran Rubab Naqvi and Zain Shakeel
