Krrish 3- Movie Review by Shoby

Krrish 3- Movie Review

3.25 Stars out of 5

Krrish is undoubtedly the most cherished superhero that emerged from the bollywood and its popularity has paved the way for making other superhero movies as well. Krrish 3 is one of the most anticipated films of the years and what came in front of us in the form of Krrish 3 is a real time full on entertainer.

Story is almost OK (just like any other superhero flick, good versus evil thing) but what makes Krrish 3 stand out is its beautifully written screenplay, which works thoroughly smooth in the proceedings. Krrish 3, to me, is perhaps the best screenplay in the triology. Another unique element in this part of Krrish franchise is the emotional quotient.

When you are making a superhero flick (with larger than life charcters embedded in the plot) and that too to woo the global audience, you need to have a great mix of script, emotions and effects and no doubt, Krrish 3 has a perfect combination of all three. Its a real visual treat, with never-seen-before (in bollywood) type of action and vfx sequences.

While building the plot for the main event, you get to see a few glimpses of action packed heroic attempts from the supoerhero, that prepares you for the actual drama. This time, not only Krrish is more powerful, but his counterpart (Kaal) is also more dangerous than Dr. Arya. In fact, this time Krrish has to fight with the world created by Kaal, which consists of Maan-war (a combo of human and animal features).

Hrithik Roshan is as usual the face of Krrish. Excellent acting in both avatars (Off the record, I liked Rohit's
part more). Priyanaka had nothing much to do (well these sort of movies do not have a good margin to act for the leading ladies). The most special thing about Krrish 3 is Kal himself (Vivek Oberoi). He is an established artist (and he has proved it times and again). It was very difficult to fill the place that was left by veteran Naseer ud Din and how beautifuly, Vivek has taken the things further... Its Commendable...

Sound track is perhaps the only spoiler of the flick, with no track to be remembered, once the films is completed. Salim-Suleman's background score is the heart of the movie. They have used some very popular arrangements in tunes (from Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish) to make it very appealing and famililer.

Overall, this one is a no age-limit flick and children of all ages should enjoy the things.

Boss- Movie Review by Shoby

Boss- Movie Review...

2 stars out of 5...

This one is a thorough masala flick, that entertains the audience right from the word go... From whacky action sequences to lol type comedy, from father/son family drama to high energy songs, it has almost a perfect recipe... Akshay is as usual excellent. 2 stars, just because its not my kind of cinema...

Waar- Movie Review by Shoby

Waar- Movie Review by Shoby

3 stars out of 5

Well I am reviewing a Pakistani flick for the very first time and a bit excited too. Waar was a talk of the town from the very begining, when it was started. Names like Shaan, the undisputed superstar of Pakistan, coupled with some big names of tv and music industry like Ali Azmat, Meesha, Shamoon, Ayesha and Bilal Lashari as the director, it kept people waiting for its release. But was the wait worth for... Lets analyze..

Bilal Lashari (the assistant director of acclaimed Khuda Ke Liye) has come up with a gem, as far as treatement of the subject is concerned. Excellent cinematography and awsome editing... And obviously, top notch script that keeps holding you right throughout the proceedings. I would specially like to mention the very catchy dialogues, that really bowls you over at times... Even in very tense sequences, writer has successfully managed to bring smiles to the faces of audience with his excellent dialogues. Coming towards acting, I am in a very comfortable position to call our very own Superstar Shaan, as the real baap of expressions. Just see, how he has played a grieved husband/father. Believe me, he needs no direction, his own ability to depict the emotions, merely by the blink of an eye or a tear drowning through his face is enough. What took me by surprise is the awsome and near to perfect acting showup by others.

Ayesha Khan, who is now a seasoned tv actress has proved that she is just ready for 35mm. Shamoon in negative role is super, at his very best. Some of his sequences have turned out to be an epic for sure. Check his very first appearance in the movie. Marvelous... Ali Azmat has proved his brilliance in a short role. Meesha looked like a real vamp... Very much authentic... Other supporting actors have also done their parts nicely.

Now some short comings, Sound track of the movie is not so impressive, but again if you have very solid screenplay, then soundtrack really doesnot matter upto a large extent... I really hated the dance sequence between Shamoon and Meesha in between the plot... I understand what you wanted to depict through this dance performance but come'on, the choreography could have been much better.

Another thing (read mistake) I want to specify here is the excess usage of English language... I know its almost of an international standard and you wanted to go global, but isnt it a stupidity to show some non educated persons talking fluently in English??? You could have done the things other way... Instead of making them speak in English and showing subtitlws in Urdu, you could have made them speak in their native language and used English in subs... This could have been much more impactful...

Further, I found the ending sequences a bit unreal... When the protagonist had the villain on his target, why would he engaged in a one on one combat (considering the fact) that he was a criminal of the nation and he should have been treated accordingly... Remember our hero (Shaan) was not a Superman/Krish like super-hero, so this one on one hand combat was looking like a bit unreal... He should have rather treated him naturally...

Overall, this movie is without any doubt a very gud attempt... Especially when our industry has nothing much to present, this one is a breather... Undoubtedly a thandi hawa k jhonka... Packed theaters and house full shows will surely and rightly bring success for it... Smiles, whistles n claps were depicting success of an amazing Waar... It is a new and fresh face of Lollywood... I can call this one with much authenticity... A real revival of cinema... Watch it for the greatest country Pakistan... Proud to be a Pakistani...

Raam Leela- Music Review by Shoby

Raam Leela- Music Review by Shoby

4 Stars out of 5

Music and Direction: Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Lyrics: Siddharth-Garima

Talking about the music of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next directorial venture Raam Leela. Yes, we all know that Bhansali sb has always come up with exceptional sound tracks for his music and all of his earlier films had blockbuster music. So its natural for the expectation to rise even more, when he is coming up with a hardcore romance-musical drama. Lets see, what Bhansali sb has in store for us this time.

In Guzarish, SLB himself composed soulful music along with Shail Hada and this time Bhansali sb has once again proved his mettle as a composer.

Starting off with the much talked-about, Garba track, which I would love to call as rebirth of Dholi Taaro. This time its titled as Nagada Sang Dhol. As the name suggests, this one has a beautiful mix of Nagadas and Dhol beats. Shreya has done it for Bhansali, what Kavita did in HDDCS. Agession is what it needed to depict and how beautifully Shreya has coupled with the beats. Just one word Exceptional.

Tattad Tattad is a high voltage, fully loaded track, that acquaints you with the main protagonist Raam. Aditya Narayan has done the justice. This one is really an ultimate party number. Ready yourself to groove with the tune.

Ang Laga De starts of almost the way Sanwar Gai (Saanwariya) started. Sweet and soothing to ears. It takes your soul to another world. Lyrics are very poetic. Raat Banjar Si Hai, Kaley Khanjar Si Hai, Tere Seeney Ki Lau, Mere Andar Bhai Hai. U will definitely love it.

Dhoop is another slow tempo track, that heavily relies on composition and beautiful lyrics. Awesome instrumental arrangements especially the Shehnai part in-between, makes the whole proceedings very serene.

Ishqyan Dishqyaun has oncer again the son of legendary Udit Narayan, Aditya lending his voice. This one prepares you for the main event. It sets your mood and readies you to expect what really this film is all about. Ya To Nazren Laraon, Ya Main Khud Mar Jaon, Ishq Yeh Tera Mera, Ishqyaun k Dishqyaun.

This year's most favourite singer Arijit takes the mic for yet another power packed track Laal Ishq. Lyrics, Composition, Arrangement, Singing, everything is set almost falw-less. This one has the ability to be another Yun Shabnami or Masha ALLAH. U can do nothing except loving this ever lovely track. Lyrics are very much inspired from Gulzar sb style. Yeh Kali Raat Jakar Loon, Yeh Thanda Chand Pakar Loon. Wah... Superb!

Lahu Munh Lag gaya is more of a situational track, that will surely make its presence felt, once witnessed it in the movie. Mor Bani Thangat Kare is a regional language song that has the feel of manmohini (HDDCS).

And my most favorite pf the lot is the exceptional Poorey Chaand. Awsome lyrics and amazing composition. After Chand chupa badal mein (HDDCS), Woh Chand Jaisi Larki (Devdas), Dekho Channd Aya (Saanwariya) and Chand Ki Katori mein (Guzaarish), this is yet another Chaand Number from a Bhansali's movie. I feel, this will be another non-lip-sync track, just like Bahon k darmaiyan, aankhon ki gustakhian, bairi piya, Jaan e Jaan and Tera Zikr. These non-lip-sync tracks are another usp of SLB.

Raam Chahe Leela is another energetic number, most probably the one which would work as the much talked about item.

On the whole, this album really strikes the right chord and has a mix  of nice classy and trendy tracks. Bhansali sb has surely come up with one grand master sound track.

Nagada Sang Dhol... Song Review

Song Review by Shoby

For all those, who were desparately waiting for another version of Dhol Baje, well the gud news is, it is now revealed... In HDDCS, what Ash did in dholi taro is simply unforgetable and no one can compete with that... But here comes another fresh take titled "Nagadre Sang Dhol"... If Tatad tatad belonged to Ranveer, this dhol baje is surely all and all Deepika's playground... Tune and musicals may sound familier (as its based on gujrati folk) but what makes it a roaring skyscraper is an immensly passionate performance of deepika... Absolutely stunning visuals (almost at par with earlier dholi taro) accompanied with Deepika's aggressive and passionate garba moves... Full marks to choreography and art direction... For all those, who missed a bit of bhansali in tatad, may get delighted this time... Slb is back with a bang!

Non Lip-Sync Songs in SLB's Films

Bahon k darmiyan, Ankhon ki gustakhian, Bairi Piya, Mausam ki adla badli, Jaan-e-Jaan, Tera Zikr... One non-lip-sync picturized by depicting emotions through gestures and ambiance is a usp of bhansali sb's films... Will we witness another gem of a track with no lip-sync in #RaamLeela...

Tattd Tattad Review- First Song of Raam Leela

Review by Shoby

Acquaint yourself with the larger than life character of Bhansali Sb’s epic love saga… Raam… As anticipated, first song to come out of Raam Leela is full of music, dance, colors and energy… Bhansali’s tune will definitely push you to groove… And lyrics this time are very simple and very catchy… You can easily rhyme the track, after one or two a bit of listening rounds.

Coming to the choreography… Once again, Tattad Tattad is a signature SLB’s song… We are familiar of large dancing troops taping their feet in many of his songs and same is apparent in this one… Ranveer gets to dance with whole lot energy having a grand dancing group… One or two shots of the songs will surely remind you Pari and Youn Shabnami from the cult Saanwarya…

On the whole, this one has all the power to be a huge hit… A must listen track while having your big bass woofer embedded headphone on the ears… And all the energy to do some tattad tattad…

Lootera- Movie Review by Shoby

Lootera...

4 stars out of 5...

First thing first, if U cant love Lootera, U cannot love The Love. Its a story that holds U. Its a script that keeps U glued. Its a screenplay that never lets U blink ur eyes.

Vikramaditya Motwane seems to be much impressed with the likes of great directors esp Sanjay Leela Bhansali sb and Ritupurano Ghosh. His shots reminds u of classics like Devdas and Raincoat.

I would specially like to mention the great job done by both the art director and costume designer. Their sincere attempt really takes U back to the old era. Commendable job done by both of them. Perfect ambience, that was required. The bg score and sound track appeals u, as it takes the story forward brilliantly.

Ranvir is a class act. Magical performance. Excelent performance by sonakshi and supporting cast too.

On the whole, this beautiful piece of cinematic extravaganza is there to entertain u thorougly... But yes, its not everyone's cup of tea... Strictly for those, who love the word "art"...

Chennai Express- Movie Review by Shoby

2.75 to 3.0 stars out of 5......

Rohit Shetty always have a perfect recipe for sheer mass entertainers. He is known for his mad, rib tickeling and mindless comedies, that have always worked wonders in box office. Someone asked R S, how is Chenai Express different from his earlier movies and he said, the major difference is SRK... And he was absolutely true... Chennai Express is a complete Rohit Shetty film with an extra big deal and that is the superstar SRK...

I m not going to reveal the story here... But just to pin point some imp things... Chenai Express has a "tom and jerry" sort of run-and-chase script, which has a mark of R S at each and every frame... As expected, SRK does the role flawlessly, which was tailer-made for the superstar... SRK once again succeeds in showing another amazing performance...

Coming to the performance of deepika... After some great performances in Cocktail and YJHD, her graph of acting has only got better... South accent with this much authenticity is not an easy task... Bravo!

Vishal-Shekar's sound track is already hit... Titli is my personal fav, that has the touch and feel of AR Rehman's soothing melodies...

Chenai Express has a true R S humour (mostly of a sit-com nature), fight sequences (where one single hero kicks the hell out of many opponents) and some sweet romance (here SRK takes the lead, and brings the best out of himself)...

Over all, it is one of those products that appeal the masses... Have almost everything, that a "common man" loves to watch...

Raanjhna- Music Review

4 Stars out of 5

Sound track of Raanjhna is refreshingly classic... Melodious and hum-able... With a heavy impact of Banaras, this one has a signature of maestro AR Rehman on every track... And as always in the case of AR Rehman's compositions, all of these tracks take  a bit of time to make u sound familier... And just after 2, 3 listenings, they get u caught in the melody... My picks r Raanjhna, Tum Tak, Nazar Laaye Na and Tu Mun Shudi...

David- Movie Review

3 Stars out of 5...

Some films are unique in the sense that they make u look the other side of the picture. Bejoy has made quite a great effort in making such an unarthodox attempt in film making. David stirs ur mind to re-think and re-analyze the world around u. Somewhere, inside every other human being, one shade or another of David lives.

David comprises of 3 altogether different stories, set in different eras in different places, that run parallel. It tells how 3 Davids live their lives and go through different phenomenas. This thriller does not use the traditional cut to cut frames to pump up adrenaline, rather it relies on its strong story (read stories) lines and hard hitting, power packed performances by all actors.

One important thing, it looks like a bit stretched in second half, where a good 10 to 15 min portion of the film could have easily been edited. But apart from this, I didnt found any notable glitche.

I would especially like to mention the great work done by the art director and the cinematographer. They have portrayed the events and places by great command, be it London of 70s or scenic goa. Same goes for stunning background score, that beautifully blends with the ongoing scenarios.

Overall, its a beautiful film, that truely depicts the fresh techniques of film making.

Go Goa Gone- Movie Review

1 Star out of 5.

We have seen so much  diversity in horror genre'. Supernatural thrillers, ghosts, dayans, spirits etc etc. Go Goa Gone brings an entirely new specie for haunting us... Well, beg ur pardon, they are not meant to haunt us in real sense...

Zombies are very fresh addition in bollywood and GGG treats it as an introductory lesson... 3 friends heading towards goa and finds a party in an isolated island and then starts a Tom and Jerry chase among normal human beings and eating... And in the end, sab set ho jata hai.

Apart from creapy zombies, there was nothing fresh in the movies...
On the whole, Go Goa Gone is a bad bad attempt on film making... Not reached upto the expectations...

Gippi- Movie Review by Shoby

2.5 out of 5 Stars.

Gippi is a very simple tale of a girl, depicting major generic problems faced by the early teenagers... U get to see various kid-young emotions here... From the first love curiosity to the tension of a competition, from the selfless friendship to hate... Almost every emotion, the kids go through in one way or another... K Jo's last directorial venture SOTY was having three debutants in the lead, similarly here most of the cast is fresh... Riya vij, and divya duta's performance really deserves applaud... Over all, its just another kid story, that barely leaves a strong impact...

Aashiqui 2- Movie Review by Shoby

2.5 stars out of 5

Love knows no boundries and music is a universal phenomenon. Romance is, without any doubt the most cherish genre' in film making. Together, they (romance and music) make a world of their own. Bollywood has given the cinegoers a mighty number of classical movies corroborating love and music. Just a couple of years back, we have seen Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar, a film that was made to celebrate love and music in a different way. Why I talked about Rockstar, because a couple of things in Mohit Suri's Aashiqui 2 were having an utmost similarity with the Rockstar. No... Aashiqui 2 is not as grand as the Rockstar. In fact, romance with a backdrop of Metal Rock music, which was used in Rockstar is also used here.

Films like Saanwarya, Mohabbaten, KKHH, HDDCS, Devdas, Rockstar, Dil Se, DTPH, etc, all of them re-defined love. They are still known as "romantic sagas", just because all of them gave a whole new dimension to the word "love" in films.

Attempting a romantic saga, is not an easy job to do and same is proved in Mohit Suri's Aashiqui 2.
Please note that it is not a sequel to 90s Aashiqui. In fact, its a different offering all together. One more thing, it fails to hit the right chords and it completely failed to leave any impact.

The major fault lies in the story itself. A very mediocre script and even a worse screen play. Mohit is a great film director but this time, he was not up to the task. Although he tried his level best to incorporate the required quota of emotions, but without a strong script and in the absence of hard hitting, "straight from the heart" dailogues, only "tear shedding and rage exposure" does not guarantee a good product, so it was impossible.

The only life line for the film is the excellent musical score and awsome acting performance by Aditya. He is a gem, who has already shown his great skills in Guzaarish & Action Reply and Aashiqui 2 was no different. Shrada was looking innocent constantly but her acting was just ok.

Over all, this film is a disappointment for someone like me, as I was expecting another grand saga, which unfortunately I  could not get.

Ek Thi Daayan- Movie Review

Ek Thi Daayan- Movie Review by Shoby

2.5 stars out of 5

Kannan Iyer was lucky enough to have likes of maverick Vishal Bharadwaj and Ekta Kapoor as the producers for her debut directorial venture. Vishal is known to make films with unique ideas having powerful themes and hard sequences. Of late, Ekta has also managed to make some nice attempts in film making. Together, the both give us a super natural thriller, the genre, Vishal has never tempred upon.
Recent bulk production of horror/thriller genre' based movies (to name some of them raaz 3, murder 3, 3g, aatma, 1920 evil returns etc) has once again provided the audience an oppurtunity to witness some spooky stories on big screen and Ek Thi Daayan is no difference, as far as, the theme is concerned.
On the same time, it is a real unique product, that never tries to haunt u by showing meaningless so-called horor elements. What makes it different is its absolutely unique plot. Stories of daayans and churails have been one of the aspect, our generation has grown up listening to. Our daadis and naanis used to tell us the tales, in which, daayans used to roam around in the nights, in search of children to eat them up (now sounds a bit non-serious). Almost same sort of story is, what ETD is all about.
It is a very strong storyline embedded with some real powerful sequences. Although, at places it becomes quite predictable (especially the climax) but u really fix ur eyes to the screen, till the whole thing ends.
One thing that pinched me during the film is its duration. Some useless narrations do make it a bit lengthy and u seriously wish, how better it would be, if it was edited a bit more wisely.
Here, I would really want to specially mention the goodness of back ground score. Nodoubt, it is very unique and fresh. Imran Hashmi has once again proved his excellence over acting, while Konkona and Huma have also performed their parts well. Kalki did not have much to do, but she completed her assognmebt quite good.
On the whole, it is a good one time watch. Go to witness Imran's great acting and cherish the old stories of daayans.

Go Goa Gone- Music Review

Go Goa Gone- Music Review

2 stars out of 5

Go Goa Gone, the very first zom-com from bollywood has a very unique sound track... Well, as it is the first attempt on zombies, and that too tagged as a romantic comedy, one really cannot predict, what should be a suitable sound track... But after listening to the album, what U find is a very reasonable (read digestible) track... Songs like Khoon Choos Le and Slowly slowly truely depicts, what the film is all about... Fast paced and foot tapping numbers, that gears U up for the party... Khush amdeed frm Shrya is a slow romantic track, that fails to leave any impact... On the whole, just an ok sort of score...

2 stars out of 5

With all due respect to the ace comedy film maker david dhawan, chashme baddoor fails to mark any impact... Despite some great acting exposure by Ali Zafar, Anupan kher, Rishi kapoor and rest of the cast, it does not provide u enough room to entertain u through out the movie... Witty dialogues and impromptu scenes alone, never guarantee a great product, and thats why this film does not work even in patches... Script and screen play could have been much better... With all the hype, generated before its release, this film is a serious disappointment... It is just another film, nothing special...

Aatma- Movie Review

Yet another horror flick, that fails to leave any impact... A very weak script combined with some very bad direction... Not even a single frame to cherish... Absolute waste of time...

3g- Movie Review

2 Stars out of 5 **

3g is a waste of time. A v nice concept, spoilled by a v bad script. It could have been a real great horor flick, if the script and screen play was a stiff one. Unfortunately, its a regretful debut of the director duo. Not at all recommended, even for a single watch.

SARASWATICHANDRA- Trailer Review

Its a Sanjay Leela Bhansali's product and it can be of none other than him to make you spell bound in the very first frame. Saraswatichandra is another magnum opus by the legendary Bhansali Sb, but this time its not for a 35 MM, rather you will get to see his magic on your very own TV set. Star Plus is all geare up to showcase the SLB's soap which is perhaps the biggest ever and first of its kind experience for TV viewers. This trailer has written Sanjay Leela Bhansali all over it......

It reminds me of the legendary's cult classic Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam...... Same tone, same scale, same sort of visually stunning and  art re-defining sets and and off course same romance…… Its a Mukamal Mohabbat Ki Adhoori Daastan..... Just watch it..... Highly recommended for all the Sanjay Leela Bhansali's fans out there..... U should Better, not miss this extravaganza...... Cant wait..........

Waar Trailer- Yes Lollywood Is Reviving

If you think Khuda Kay Liye is Shaan's best performance..... Just wait....... If you think BOL has the best ever script and screenplay written in Pakistan...... Wait a bit more...... I have just witnessed one of the best teasers of my life, as far as Lollywood is concerned...... Seasoned music video director Bilal Lashari has undoubtedly made a finest attempt in his debut directorial venture..... After assisting the maverick Shoaib Mansoor in Khuda Kay Liye, Waar is his first hand product..... And he has definitely done wonders...... With the cast including some real heavy duty names like Shaan, Ali Azmat, Shamoon, Ayesha and Meesha Shafi, Waar is surely going to boost the graph of film making in Pakistan...... Shaan is at his all time best right from the word Go, in the trailer. Wishing all the very Best of Luck for the Waar team......

Special 26- Movie Review

Special 26- 2.5 stars out of 5.

Sorry but I m seriously not impressed. Nothing exceptional, except some top notch acting frm Akshey and Anupam Kher. Flat story. Looks like the director was in a bit hurry to tell the story. Needless romantic episode, embedded in the movie. 1 thing surely deserves the applaude and thats the art direction and cinemtagraphy. As its a period film, U really believe that U r witnessing the same era. Thats it!

Very impressive. This will surely catch some eyes. Warning. Dont expect Romeo's love here. Looks like a tale of lust and revenge.

Expect nothing but a very mediocre 80's style of typical Bollywood masala entertainer. Not impressed.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan- Movie Review

Jab Tk Hai Jaan- Movie Review
3 Stars out of 5

Production and Direction: Yash Chopra
Starring: SRK, Katrina and Anushka
Script: Aditya Chopra
Music and BG Score: AR Rehman
Lyrics: Gulzaar
Cinematography: Anil Mehta

The name of Yash Chopra is synonymous to the words love and romance. Who can forget the ever green love sagas, which he has gifted to the moviegoers in his career. Films like Darr, Chaandni, Dil To Pagal Hai, Veer Zara, Silsiley and many more have been successful in getting the status of Cult Classics in their respective eras. He has been a true path breaking film maker with seriously No Holds Bars, in terms of film making. Colors, Celebrations, Emotions, Music, Dance, and beautiful locations have been his USPs all through his great directorial and production career.

And almost two years back, he announced a movie bringing some of the best in business together for the first time. Musical maestro AR Rehman, legendary poet/lyricist/dialogue wrier Gulzaar Sb, master of cinematography Anil Mehta, true king of b-town SRK and last but not the least, celebrated young faces of current Bollywood, Katrina and Anushka. To sum the whole things up, a real Dream Team. And this announcement truly created goose bumps among the cinema lovers.

This much hyped and possibly the most awaited movie of 2012 got the nervous stir even more, when the sound track came into the limelight. Songs like Challa, Saans, Ishq Shawa and Jab Tak Hai Jaan became instantaneous hits and each one of us had our fingers crossed to witness perhaps the biggest love saga of all the time but….. Kahani had a different twist this time.

This highly anticipated love saga was unfortunately NOT a Yash Chopra Romance at all. Like Veer Zara, you get to listen (in fact watch) the past of the main protagonist in his own words. Akira (Anushka) by chance finds the diary of rude and straight faced angry man Samar Anand and discovers that he has “almost” lost his live Meera (Katrina) in London, 10years back. Flashbacks take you to London (10 years back), where Samar used to do odd jobs to meet the ends of life. Here, he the rich young beautiful Meera and falls in love with her. And after a few twistes and turns they part ways and he comes back to India.

And all of a sudden, we get to know that Samar Anand is now a Major (out of nowhere) and Akira wants to make a documentary about the Man who cannot die. This time, she falls in love with Samar and ooppssss……. Isn’t it to bollywoodish…….

Coming straight now, to the loopholes and the short comings of JTHJ, the biggest mistake in the movie is the weakness of the script. Aditya has NOT done justice to his name. I would never blame the drector as he was not having the enough room to play. Adi has completely failed in providing a gluing sort of script, that can held the audience tight. Second of the list, the endless length of the movie. Gone are the days, when audience used to digest (in fact enjoy) the lengthy 3 odd hours movies. You should keep the things simple and straight in order to connect with the movie goer. This love story is almost 3 hours long and who can wait for such a long time to taste a very predictable end and that too in a pure 90’s style of Bollywood climax. Some of the sequences are totally unnecessary, in fact useless, which could only make the things worse by making the whole phenomenon even more boring.

Let’s praise, what really needs to be appreciated, if you want to see JTHJ, go for some very soothing tunes and bg score from the master of the craft, which equally collaborates with ever loving poetry of Gulzaar Sb. Saans has been the real USP of the movie. The way it was pictured, I can easily put it in the list of Top 25 romantic numbers of all times. It really reminded me of some of the gems like Hum Ko Hui Se Chura Lo (from Mohabbatein), Pyar Kar (DTPH), Khamoshian (1 2 Ka 4) and many more. Vaibhavi has done wonders in terms of chorography. Jiya Re and Ishq Shawa are fabulously filmed with nice footsteps from all the three (SRK, Anushka and Katrina).

To me, there are two heroes in the film. SRK and Anushka. Someone like SRK needs no praise from any one. He has already proved that he is the real guru of love and romance and this time it was no different. I both attires (lovely common man Samar and rigid Magor Samar), he is a class apart and acted almost flawless. Anushka has a very short margin but she rendered her performance so beautifully that you can never ignore her. Bindaas, Cool, Happy Go Lucky and then a very serious dipped in love passionate girl, just one word FABULOUS. Katrina looked beautiful all through the film. No comments on her acting. On top of all this, it is about the legendary Anil Mehta. From the great locales of London to the heavenly scenic beauty of Kashmir, he has told the romance through his skills and expertise. Hatts Off Anil. Standing Ovation to your great work.

On the whole, this much anticipated love saga, turned out to be a One Time Watch only. Sorry, but I cannot waste 3 more crucial hours of my love by watching it again. Adi really spoils the show.
